Natural Cures
"The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease."
-- Thomas Edison (1847 - 1931)
Most disease results from a loss of basic health. Health is lost in some areas of your body function more than others and that combines with your genetic predisposition. Neglected, you develop chronic sickness we call 'disease'. Which particular one depends on the specific combination of these factors. So it makes sense that the ultimate cure for all disease is ... being healthy. In other words, “A healthy body doesn’t get sick.” It may sound as though I am trying to trivialize your condition or the great research efforts of scientists the world over but I am not. Sometimes getting healthy can be difficult.
For example, you know that doing exercise is essential for good health. But if you have chronic fatigue, even a little exercise can make you exhausted. It can seem like you're caught between the devil and the deep blue sea.
You Can Cure Most Disease
You know, for almost every condition you can think of, there are people who have overcome that condition and gone on to lead a normal life. There are people who had high blood pressure who now don’t. There are people who had severe diabetes who have beaten the condition. There are people who had chronic fatigue who are now bursting with energy (I’m one of those). There are people who had arthritis who now have no pain at all (I’m one of those too!). So I think that
the first step is to know it can be done.
The second step is to work out what you need to do to get those same life-restoring effects. You can go and do a lot of research and experimentation or you can follow in the footsteps of others who have had success. Obviously, if someone else has had the same problem as you and come up with a strategy to reverse it, the odds are that the same strategy will work for you. And even if it doesn't it gives you a good starting point to work from.
You're Gonna Need A Plan
Now it's very attractive to think you going to find some pill you can just take, change nothing else in your lifestyle, and that will fix your ills. This is a great dream and one that is encouraged by pill-sellers of every persuasion - from drug makers to herbal supplement manufacturers. But the reality is rarely like this. 99 times out of 100 you will need to have a systematic plan of attack. You will need to make lifestyle changes. You will need to experiment to find what works for you.
So how do you know what's the best plan of attack to try? I'd suggest it makes sense to look at what others have done that has worked. Look at the research behind the plan. If it has worked for someone else with the same condition as you, odds are it's going to work for you too.
In other words, the
second step is to get a good plan. And this is where I can help. It is my mission to study and analyze the programs that are available, to review them and help you select the plan that is good for you. Go to the menu at the top of this page, hover over 'Natural Cures' and you will see a list of conditions for which I have done this work for you. Go to the one that most describes your problem and start there.
If your condition is not there and you would like me to research solutions for you, send me an email at richard@optimalhealthworks.com. In all likelihood, I have started the research already and your mail will make it my priority.
A Healthy Body Doesn’t Get Sick
If you have some disease that is really causing you loss of life enjoyment or is even life-threatening, it makes sense that you would focus on fixing that problem first. Like if you have diabetes that is making you tired and putting you at risk of heart disease, loss of vision and loss of limb, you should really do something about that.
But remember that most disease results from a loss of basic health in the first place. “A healthy body doesn’t get sick.” So whatever you do, you want it to actually build your basic body health at the same time as you get your ‘disease’ under control. You will find that any plan of attack I recommend will be not only help your condition but also improve your overall health.
Ultimately, I think you want Optimal Health to be your final goal, but if you are suffering from some condition, I suggest your first goal should be to get that sorted by focusing your health-building in the places that will have the biggest effect on your condition.
